Throughout her entire shift at The Dot Darcy couldn’t stop thinking about Declan. This was actually sort of a common problem, but today it was about a hundred times harder to focus on anything else. Almost instantly when the clock hit eight she was out the front door, still being careful not to slip on the icy sidewalk. Not even the awful amount of snow and cold could bring down her spirits.
Darcy had a smile stuck on her face the entire car ride to the airport, letting her mind wander while she waited in traffic. She wondered if Declan would look any different, or maybe he’d gotten taller. The butterflies in her stomach only intensified her excitement. When she finally arrived at the airport she practically skipped to the baggage claim, standing up on a chair to try and spot him over the crowd. The thought of being able to see Darcy face to face for the first time in months made Declan walk as fast as he could through the terminal and crowds of people. He dodged people and objects like a ninja before he finally reached baggage claim where Darcy said she would meet him. Stopping dead in his tracks he looked around the huge airport area scanning the room looking for her and not paying attention to the people bumping into him. After a bit of starry eyed searching his eyes landed on a small brunette standing up in one of the chairs waving her arms enthusiastically. Instantly Declan took off, running as fast as he could through the immense crowds of other getting and going home for the holidays. As soon as he reached her he didn’t hesitate picking her up on the chair and spinning her around before sitting her down in front of him and kissing her with all the strength the plane ride had left in him. When he finally pulled away he smiled and laughed as he pressed his forehead against hers. “I’ve been waiting to do that since August,” he said through heavy breaths.
The moment Darcy spotted Declan in the crowd she began waving her arms to get his attention, entirely oblivious to how ridiculous she looked. The grin on her face grew even wider when their eyes met and he began to run towards her. Darcy could barely contain herself, letting out a squeal of excitement once he reached her and picked her up in his arms. She kissed him back, smiling against his lips and keeping her arms wrapped around him, never wanting to let go. “I missed you.” She sighed, looking up into his bright blue eyes. There were a million other things she wanted to say but her brain was overwhelmed by him that she couldn’t get anything else to come out. Darcy buried her face into his chest and squeezed him tightly. “How was your flight?” She asked without letting him go.
“Way too long,” Declan responded while showering her in more kisses. The crowded airport didn’t seem to matter, neither did an entire semester passed of busting his ass at Yale. All that could seem to matter to him at that point in time was the fact that Darcy was standing in front of him with a smile on her face. He reached his hand up and stroked her cheek with his thumb as if to make sure he wasn’t just dreaming that the girl he was in love with was in his arms again. “You look beautiful,” he said leaning in and kissing her some more. It felt that as many times as he could possibly kiss her wouldn’t be enough for him and he kept going. “I want to hear everything. How everyone is, how you are, how are the animals, your work schedule so I can plan as much time as possible with us together.”
How to blow a bubble:
Step 1: First go like this
Step 2: Spin around
Step 3: STOP!
Step 4: Double take 3 times; 1…2…3!
Step 5: Then Pelvic Thrust!
Step 6: Stop on your right foot, DON’T FORGET IT!

Step 7: Now it’s time to bring it around town.
Step 8: Then yo do this, then this, and this, and that, and this, and that, and this.
Step 9: THEN…!

Reuntied and it feels so good
Declan tapped his feet as he listened to the pilot’s final goodbyes and welcomes to Toronto to the passengers before he climbed out of his large first class seat and grabbed his carry on bag. Toronto wasn’t his technical home after all the places he’d been in his life and all of his family living in New York, but it was definitely where he felt like he was at home the most. Mostly because of one girl. Darcy and him had been together for over a year and now he got to come home and spend Christmas with her for two years in a row. He exited the terminal with a huge smile on his face, awaiting to see the girl who he’d been crazy about for what seemed like forever. No more phone calls, no more skype dates, no more texts between classes at Yale. Just the two of them and the holidays.
I’m gonna marry him.
Family dinners would be more interesting.
Perfect girlfriend is unbelievably perfect.
